Letter from Our President
It has been so wonderful to connect with this community over the past many years. I have found the strength and determination of you all to be an inspiration. You have continued to embrace change, bring excitement, and provide comfort through marketing and messaging. I look forward to celebrating with all of you for the achievements made this past year.
Over the past Covid years Health Care Communicators has sought to remain connected to our members through our Wine and Wisdom events. We’ve offered a few educational events like Creating Presentations that Persuade audiences and Generate Results. Additionally, we cross promote events held by others such as Biocom’s Celebrating Black History Month: Black Biotech Trailblazers in Life Science.
HCC continues to be committed at looking for ways to improve our offerings to the community. We strive to become a resource for sharing valuable connections amongst our peers in southern California. It brings me and our board members great joy to offer valuable networking and educational events to our colleagues in the health care marketing and communication industries.
Finally, a huge thank you to our sponsors and membership who have been incredibly supportive of HCC and our mission, we thank you greatly!
Sincerely,
Christina Campo, HCC President

2021 Scholarship Winner
Bryan Cheng, 2021 AMN Healthcare/HCC Scholarship winner, is a recent graduate of Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego and is attending the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a major in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. He is passionate about the field of global health and aims to aid communities where access to medical resources is limited or nonexistent. Throughout high school, he has volunteered on medical missions trips in the local area and beyond, including a pop-up clinic in Tijuana, Mexico and at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya, which have solidified his desire to enter the fields of medicine and global health. He hopes to become a physician and help people around the world gain access to medical care through both direct clinical work and investing in health care professionals who already practice in the regions with the most need.
