The Finest Awards event recognizes the best of our health care marketing and communications industry within Southern California. These awards recognize digital and traditional media, special events, and the metrics that measure success. Receipt of a Finest Award represents excellence in your field and line of work.

Health Care Communicators of Southern California Announces Finest Award Winners

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – May 6, 2022 – The Health Care Communicators of Southern California (HCCSC) Finest Awards were announced this afternoon recognizing excellence in marketing and communication in healthcare. 111 nominations were received from organizations throughout San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire.

Gold, silver, and bronze awards were distributed in 38 categories, including public relations, digital marketing, writing, collateral, and special events. Winners included:

The Best in Show award went to Tri-City Medical Center, achieving the highest overall score among all entries.

The Communicator of the Year Award went to Keith Darce and Steve Carpowich, Public Relations Managers for Scripps Health for their efforts to ensure that Scripps leadership was positioned as one of the media’s most trusted sources for COVID information. Since the pandemic, the small, but mighty PR team has responded to more than 1,000 media queries that resulted in 4,330 impressions and potentially reached almost 3 billion people.
